Rehabilitation Hospital Expansion Project
The Need
Sheba Medical Center has long stood as a pillar of Israel’s healthcare system, showcasing remarkable expertise and capability, especially during times of crisis. In the wake of recent Hamas-led attacks, Sheba has once again risen to the forefront of Israel’s medical response. Currently, the medical center is operating under significant pressure, with its general capacity at 79%, its Respiratory Intensive Care Unit stretched to 113%, and the Rehabilitation Hospital, Israel’s premier rehabilitation center, operating at 94% capacity. These figures underscore the urgent need for enhanced resources and equipment to cope with the increasing demands, particularly for those with complex injuries, including civilians, released hostages in Hamas captivity, and IDF personnel.
