Born and raised in Israel, Naomi Hadar served in the IDF before studying science at Tel Aviv University and the esteemed Technion in Haifa. In 2018, Prof. Mordechai Shani and Yoel Har-Even appointed her as the Executive Director of African Friends of Sheba Medical Center. Since then, Naomi has been instrumental in enhancing Sheba’s presence in South Africa and across the continent, fostering partnerships with local health institutions, and promoting collaboration, particularly with ARC Innovation. Under her leadership, Naomi has continuously taken big steps to fulfill African Friends of Sheba’s vision, establishing a diverse board, elevating its humanitarian missions, and overall expanding Sheba’s global outreach.
